There comes a moment when you realize not only that you have organized a great sporting event, like the motorola razr Miami Premier Padel P1, but that you have managed to integrate it perfectly with the sports culture of the city hosting it. That Miami Beach loves padel and that padel loves Miami Beach is evident actually, there are four clear pieces of evidence: four consecutive sold-out days from Thursday to Sunday. But when an official recognition comes from the city’s highest authorities, the colors become even brighter, and the pride of working to promote padel at the highest level merges with the euphoria of a great padel finals day.
Just before the highly anticipated showdown between former inseparable partners Juan Lebron and Ale Galan, now paired respectively with Franco Stupaczuk and Fede Chingotto, competing for the Miami Premier Padel crown, a remarkable and tangible surprise took place: Miami Beach Mayor Steven Meiner and Commissioner Joe Magazine paid a special visit. Mayor Meiner—who, along with the Commissioner, was presented with two official tournament rackets featuring the Miami Premier Padel logo—wanted to honor the tournament organizers, Marco Gamberale of NSA Group, Teddy Puig and Marta Plana Cros of One16Sports, and Tournament Director Fernando Belasteguin, with an official document recognizing the city’s appreciation for hosting such a major sporting event.
A simple yet meaningful ceremony, a small celebration within the bigger Miami Beach padel festival, which left a lasting impression.
