Sanchez-Josemaria play like world number ones. Gonzalez and Fernandez defeated, now it’s time for the final

Ari Sanchez and Paula Josemaria have advanced to the final of the motorola razr Miami Premier Padel P1 after a match dominated in the first set, which ended 6-1, and impressively recovered in the second, finishing 6-4. It took just one hour and 17 minutes of outstanding padel at the Miami Beach Convention Center for the world’s top-ranked FIP duo to overcome the No. 3 seeds, Bea Gonzalez and Claudia Fernandez. Sanchez and Josemaria hit the court with the right level of intensity, and it showed: they controlled both offence and defense, winning 66% of total points, with clear dominance not only in their service games but also in returning, where they won 71% of points on their opponents’ first serves.

 

The second set, however, told a very different story. Bea and Claudia stepped up their pace, breaking serve in the fourth game as Sanchez and Josemaria struggled with unforced errors, falling behind 1-4. But true champions always find a way. Sanchez and Josemaria cranked up their aggression, tightened their defense, and reignited the match. Their pressure immediately paid off with a break in the seventh game, and they levelled the score at 4-4 with a commanding love game.

 

From that point, the match’s momentum was firmly on Sanchez-Josemaria’s side. They broke their opponents again in the ninth game and sealed the victory at 6-4. With this hard-fought win over a formidable opponent, Ari and Paula have booked their place in tomorrow’s final.
