Sixteen-time world No. 1 and widely regarded as the greatest player in padel history,
Fernando Belasteguín, returns as Sporting Director of the tournament.
“I’m extremely proud to celebrate this second edition of the Miami P1. We’ve introduced major improvements — six courts within the same venue so players can train where they compete, and a significant increase in capacity because the first edition exceeded expectations. We believe we can sell out again. Our goal is to make the experience for fans and partners better every year. I invite the entire U.S. padel community — fans, players, brands — to join us and witness the best players in the world battle for the ultimate prestige: the official world ranking.”
The Only Tournament of Its Kind in the United States
The Miami P1 is not just another professional event — it is the only official Premier Padel tournament in the U.S. guaranteeing full participation from the sport’s global elite, both men and women, under the circuit that defines the FIP world rankings.
In the inaugural edition, Gemma Triay and Delfina Brea lifted the women’s trophy, while Alejandro Galán and Federico Chingotto captured the men’s title in front of packed stands — signaling the arrival of elite padel in America.
A Sport Exploding in the U.S.
The Miami P1 returns at a pivotal moment for padel in the United States.
According to the FIP World Padel Report 2025, the U.S. has experienced nearly 100% growth in court installations over the past 18 months, now reaching approximately 800 courts nationwide across 31 states.
More than 40% of all U.S. courts are located in Florida, positioning the state as the epicenter of the country’s fastest-growing racquet sport.
With participation and infrastructure expanding at record pace, the Miami P1 represents the flagship professional showcase of this surge.
A Global Tour, A Global Stage
The Miami P1 will be the second P1 event of the 2026 season, following the Riyadh opener, and takes place after P2 tournaments in Spain and Mexico.
The 2026 Qatar Airways Premier Padel Tour features 25 tournaments across 17 countries, underscoring the sport’s rapid international expansion and its emergence as a truly global professional circuit.
