A historic debut is getting closer. With less than a week to go until the start of the motorola razr Miami Premier Padel P1—the first Premier Padel event in the United States — Fernando Belasteguin, the tournament director, has shared a special message with Miami’s padel clubs and fans.
Dear Clubs,
As the Sports Director of the motorola razr Miami Premier Padel P1, taking place from March 18th to March 23rd at the Miami Beach Convention Center, I would like to address you all.
It is with great satisfaction, pride and responsibility that I take on this new challenge after 30 years as a professional player, now alongside Premier Padel, in a country so crucial to the development of our beloved sport.
I want to express my gratitude to all of you for taking on the responsibility of investing in the construction of facilities that allow people to enjoy playing padel. You, alongside them, are the driving force behind the unstoppable growth of our sport—because for padel to thrive, clubs are essential.
I would love for you to join us on this exciting journey and be part of our adventure, with the ultimate goal of helping to develop padel across the United States. We need you by our side—to help spread the word through your channels and to tell each of your clients and friends that they have the unique opportunity to watch the world’s best players compete for the No. 1 ranking. Every day, they will fight to advance one more round and earn as many points as possible in Miami, chasing the prestige that comes with a top ranking and, speaking from experience, there is nothing more thrilling for a player than battling to finish as high as possible in the world rankings.
That’s why we will be working together with you—inviting you to the event and humbly welcoming any suggestions you may have to help improve it day by day. In a few years, we hope to share the immense joy of a job well done, always keeping the growth of padel as a sport at the heart of our efforts. As I have always said, if we do things right and work together in the same direction, focusing solely on the good of the sport, I have no doubt that we are witnessing the sport of the future.
Sending you all a warm embrace, and I look forward to visiting you soon.
Fernando Belasteguin
